A winter sports day could not be more beautiful – when the winter landscape turns into a picture book back drop, sliding through the nature spectacle with snowy treetops and mountain peaks, pure air, enticing silence, glittering snow and the long tracks make cross country skiing a truly sensual experience. Tegernsee is therefore the perfect location for cross country skiing in upper Bavaria with its many, versatile slopes, easy to difficult. At the towns of Kreuth, Gmund, Rottach-Egern and Bad Wiessee there are many tracks to be found and of course the breathtaking view of the mountains, water and villages. From Kreuth the loipes almost reach Austria.

Night Owls can enjoy the lit tracks at Brunnbichl and Bad Wiessee from 6 pm – 9 pm. If you are a little bit lost moving with cross country skis, the local skiing schools provide skilled cross country skiing trainers to show you the different techniques, help you on the tracks and offer the latest cross-country skis for rent. Chill out by the fire place at the MIZU Bar after returning in the evening – relaxed and content from the adventurous day.
