What is "Tegernsee Phantastisch"?

The innovative edutainment attraction houses two contrasting worlds of learning, play and entertainment, each creatively combining knowledge transfer with play and sport - "Tegernsee World" and "Tegernsee Magic". On a total of 2,700 square meters, the attractions include a Weissach Warrior course, a high ropes climbing course, a trampoline area for advanced riders and a virtual reality attraction familiar from Europa-Park Rust, and much more.

The wooden playhouses

Experience the Bachmair Weissach World! All houses of the group can also be found in Tegernsee Fantastic: The Spa & Resort Bachmair Weissach, Wildbad Kreuth, the Berghotel Altes Wallberghaus, the Bachmair Weissach See-Apartments, the Hotel Bussi Baby and the Clubhaus Bachmair Weissach have been recreated in wooden construction with a spruce wood structure. They are grouped around a virtual lake, the Tegernsee. The two- to three-story play houses with various themed worlds and slides invite visitors young and old to discover and explore. The houses are connected to each other on the upper floors with bridges and a net safety device, so that one can walk once around the virtual Tegernsee. Inside the houses, guests learn a lot of interesting facts about Lake Tegernsee and the nature there. 
 

The Tegernsee Ecologia area

Tegernsee Ecologia is primarily dedicated to the topics of nature and sustainability. The visitor receives concrete information about the ecology of the region. The aim of Tegernsee Ecologia is to show the special features of Lake Tegernsee, the region and the nature there. Visitors get answers to exciting questions about Lake Tegernsee: Why is the water so clean and how did the lake come into being in the first place? What did it look like in the past and what will it look like in the future? What is being done to preserve the wonderful nature? And how is the idea of sustainability being implemented?

Visitors to Tegernsee Ecologia will find information on the topics of history, water, wind, forest, agriculture, tourism, climate and energy. For each individual topic there is a descriptive information board with illustrations and graphics. Visitors can read about the history of Lake Tegernsee, among other things. But they also get an outlook on the future and information on climatic changes and their consequences: How has the forest at Lake Tegern changed and why will there be fewer spruces there at some point? Why is alpine farming so important for the preservation of nature? Why is hay milk so healthy? What is the importance of tourism for the region, how has it developed and what must be done so that it does not pose a threat to nature? An exciting excursion into the world of Tegernsee - for children and also for adults! Did you know, for example, why people hike on the Wallberg on soil that was once African, or that the district of Miesbach has the highest proportion of organic farmers in Germany, with a share of over 33 percent? Or why the signs of global warming are not yet as noticeable as in the rest of Bavaria or other parts of the Alps?
 

The Aquarium

The Aquarium is an attraction that combines digitality and creativity in a playful way. The little (and also big) visitors have the opportunity to discover the diverse underwater world of Lake Tegernsee with its numerous fish species and are also allowed to get creative themselves: Analog, paint on paper, there are templates for guests to color. This fish is then scanned and "swims" digitally across the interactive wall a short time later. Guests can then follow the fish's journey through the virtual Tegernsee on the digital wall. You can also give your fish a name and add a personal message, which is then displayed on the screen. At the same time, you can learn a lot of interesting facts about the fish that live in Lake Tegernsee: If a virtual fish swims by, you simply press on it and a speech bubble appears with all the information about it: What kind of fish is it, how big does this fish grow, is it a predatory fish such as the pike? The aquarium not only shows the fish diversity of the Tegernsee, but also makes clear why this abundance of fish is so valuable, because only in clean water is abundance of fish possible. 
 

Birds of prey at Wallberghaus

The impressive world of birds of prey native to Lake Tegernsee can also be experienced in Tegernsee Fantastic. In the bird of prey house, visitors can learn everything about the native birds of prey and hunting birds. Information panels provide everything worth knowing about hawks, buzzards, falcons and also the famous golden eagles that live and nest around the Wallberg. Why are the birds of prey so important for the integrity of nature and what is their habitat like today? You can also see a very rare natural spectacle here: The spectacular swoop of a falcon, shown on one of the three video walls - accompanied by the impressive cry of the falcon. 

The largest glass bouldering wall in the world 

Bouldering is a new trend sport - versatile and effective. It can now also be practiced in Tegernsee Fantastic. A superlative experience, because the Wallberg Wall is the largest glass bouldering wall in the world! With almost 200 square meters of climbing surface - this consists of sanded multiplex panels with a substructure of solid wood - it is the new Eldorado for bouldering fans. In addition, there is a climbing area of approximately 32 square meters made of Plexiglas in front of the window area. Over 1,000 climbing holds in various colors and shapes provide adrenaline and climbing fun. Safety is ensured by fall protection mats with contour lines of the surrounding mountain landscape.

The high ropes course

In the Tegernsee Magic area, you will also find - immersed in an atmospheric light installation in the semi-darkness of this mystical fantasy landscape - a high ropes climbing garden. The high-altitude route, called "Hohe Luft," at a total height of seven meters, has 13 stations with varying degrees of difficulty. For the two differently designed climbing paths, each guest is secured with a safety system common for climbing gardens. The high ropes course is a special feature, a sporting challenge in the dark, where only the supports are illuminated.

Another highlight in the high ropes course is the Pole Walk: vertical steel supports are attached to the wall at different heights and can be climbed, similar to a staircase. Here, too, a self-securing system ensures carefree climbing fun.  

The trampoline facility 

Another highlight is the interactive trampoline facility with acoustic and visual effects - a guarantee for lots of adrenaline. The motto here is cooperation and fair play. This means that if visitors jump on the trampoline in time and synchronously, they are rewarded with cool light and sound effects. If, on the other hand, everyone jumps in confusion, nothing happens. Variety is provided: there are different trampolines, including a Free Jump Area, a Walk on Wall with sloping trampolines, a Performance Trampoline with even more suspension and a platform from which you can try out different figures. There is also an interactive game system ValoMotion, where you can jump trampoline interactively on the screen. The trampoline system has been lovingly integrated into a seating area made of a wooden construction, which invites you to relax.

The Ninja Warrior course

Want to become a Ninja Warrior yourself? This dream also comes true in Tegernsee Magic. Thanks to the Weissach Warrior - Korbinian Kohler's answer to the Japanese Ninja fighters. Competition and thrills are the main themes here: visitors can compete against each other on the virtual playing field. Two lanes are available for direct comparison. There is also a quarter pipe - a jump-like construction, known primarily for use in freestyle - with a height of 3.5 meters. Fight for the highscore with your friends!
 

The Illusions

At this attraction there are different photo sets with very special scenarios, which are only available at "Tegernsee Phantastisch". A great opportunity to take unique photos as a souvenir but of course also for social media. Posing and posting are expressly desired here. For the Bachmair Weissach See-Apartments, for example, there is the pretzel as a symbol.
 

Gardone

The Italian restaurant Gardone can seat 60 people inside, and there is also room for 60 guests on the large sun terrace with a view of the Wallberg. In addition, there are 74 more seats in the self-service area on the indoor terrace.
