In July 2015 the Hotel Bachmair Weissach opened the first Japanese restaurant in the Tegernsee region. The hotel owner Korbinian Kohler won over the renowned Japanese chef Mitsutoshi Sugiyama who delights the restaurant guests with the versatility of modern Japanese cuisine in the new show-cooking area.

The blend of Far Eastern influences with traditional materials and the cosmopolitan lifestyle of the Tegernsee is reflected in the gastronomical concept and design: light, healthy cuisine using local fish, linens from reed and fine woods as well as Asian-infused drinks by David Barth at the adjacent MIZU Bar.

Get to know the Japanese cuisine with its beautiful details, involving all you senses with our sushi
masters. Learn about sashimi and sushi, about cutting and rolling techniques and some secrets,
like the right way to cook the perfectly sticky sushi rice.
